Section 8 Ventilation Systems


801. Ventilation systems of machinery spaces


1. A mechanical ventilation system with suitable inlets and outlets, including dampers, is to be pro- vided for the machinery space.


2. Calculated air quantity required is to be based on the sum of the air required for diesel engines and boilers, as well as the requirements for exhaustion of heat emitted from machinery and elec- trical equipment. In no case is air supply to be less than the sum of needed combustion air plus 50 %. image
