Section 14 Machinery and Electrical Equipment of Tank Barges

1401. General

Machinery and electrical equipment of barges intended to carry crude oil or petroleum products having the vapour pressure (in gauge) less than 0.2 MPa at 38 ℃ in bulk are to comply with the

requirements in Pt 7, Ch 1, Sec 10 to 11 of the Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships to the exclusion of the requirements for arrangements of cargo pumps and for bilge arrangements as well as the requirements in Sec 1 to 13 of this Chapter.
