Section 1 General
101. General
1. The requirements of this Chapter is applied in addition to Pt 6 of Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships, to all electrical equipment on board submersibles as well as to equipment for the handling and retrieval of submersibles, where appropriate. In submersibles with a diver's lockout, the electrical equipment in the area of the diver's lockout is also required to comply with the pro- visions of Pt 9, Ch 7, Sec 12 of Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships.
2. The documents to be submitted to the Society for approval are listed in Ch 1, Sec 2.
3. The necessary tests and markings are specified in Ch 1, Sec 3 and Sec 4.
