CHAPTER 1 FIRE PROTECTION
Section 1 General
2. Spaces intended for storage and handling of tender boats, cars, motorbikes or similar equip- ment are to comply with requirements as for enclosed vehicle spaces (ro-ro cargo spaces) in HSC Code with respect to structural fire protection (30 minutes rating is acceptable) and ventilation. Relaxation of these requirements can be considered on a case by case basis for storage spaces below 10 m or equipment using only fuel with flashpoint above 60 C.
